MAP

You will know who carries this infrastructure, and what MAP answers for.

Before committing to a programme, you want to know who is on the other side. Which company, on what basis it commits, what it answers for and what already works. MAP is the institutional brand of Mon Ami Poto SAS, an electronic money institution authorised by the ACPR, registered in Paris since February 2020. We have the solution: an earmarkable digital euro, a real account and a universal payment card for each beneficiary, every payment recorded on a tamper-proof blockchain.

Mission and positioning

A use first, an infrastructure second

The project does not begin with a platform in search of a use. It begins with a use.

A programme, Poto / Mon Ami Poto, made necessary the infrastructure MAP carries today. The point was to organise solidarity contributions that are earmarked, usable and tracked. The earmarkable digital euro was born of a real need, not of a technical demonstration.

This path explains the way MAP describes its offer. A capability is presented as available only once it has been implemented or contractually settled. We describe each application by its rules and by what it covers, and we always separate what we put in place from what we report on.

What MAP does

What MAP answers for, and what it does not

A supplier that does not write down its limits leaves you to carry them. Here are ours.

What MAP does

  • Issue a digital euro earmarked against the rules of your programme.
  • Open a real account and a universal payment card for each beneficiary.
  • Check 100% of operations before execution, under AI supervision.
  • Record every payment on a tamper-proof blockchain and report the programme’s log.
  • Document what we observe, and what we do not observe.

What MAP does not do

  • Assess individual situations reviewed by a body.
  • Substitute for the internal control or evaluation of a programme.
  • Guarantee the accuracy of data entered by a third party.
  • Establish what was put in the basket, or that the goods paid for were delivered.
  • Carry out banking activity or act on behalf of a central bank.

Roles served

Who does what in a programme

The service brings together four roles. Confusing them is the first source of misunderstanding about responsibilities.

Funder
Local authority, company, network, patron, foundation or endowment fund, platform. You provide the funds, you set the rules of the programme and you account for how they are used.
Beneficiary
The person or organisation holding a real account and a universal payment card, spending within the framework you have set.
Supplier
The business that takes the payment, in store, online or by QR code, anywhere in the world the framework allows.
Operator
The body that reviews individual situations and runs the programme day to day, where that role is distinct from the funder.

You decide who, when, how much, where and for what purpose. The role held by each party is settled at the first discussion and written into the contract.

Entity

An identifiable company

A French company, authorised and supervised, whose identity and status can be checked at the trade register and with the authority. The terms ‘management’, ‘committee’ or ‘board’ are used only for bodies that actually exist.

The relationship between MAP and Poto

Poto / Mon Ami Poto is the solidarity application: it addresses contributors, organisations and people receiving support. MAP is the infrastructure: it addresses organisations that fund or collect for a specific use and must account for it. The former gave rise to the latter, and remains its most complete field of application: every service works together there, from collection through to proof.

Governance and ecosystem, on the record

Internal responsibilities and the parties involved in the service are covered by two dedicated pages. We name a person or an organisation there only with their agreement: an old press article does not establish a current role, and a past integration does not establish a current partnership. It is the same standard of proof as everywhere else on this site.

Regulatory framework
Identity of the contracting party, status, services covered and official reference.
What already works
Earmarked contributions, beneficiary accounts and cards, payments at authorised suppliers, and each role sees what concerns it.
