Anonymised extracts and authorised screenshots, presented during a discussion. The caption states what they show, and on what date.

Editorial rule for this section
A case study appears here only if its workings are established and MAP is authorised to speak about it. Activity indicators are published only together with their source, their definition, their period and the date they were last updated. No logo, no testimonial and no result is published without written authorisation.

Limits

What this case study does not prove

What is proven in one context is not proven everywhere. Saying so is the condition for being believed on the rest.

Proven in this context

  • Issuing an earmarkable digital euro from contributions in euros.
  • Writing the rules of use before the first payment, and checking them before every operation.
  • Equipping a beneficiary with a real account, a card and QR code payment.
  • Recording every payment on the blockchain and showing it to the roles concerned.

To be re-examined in another context

  • The volumes and the rhythms of another sector.
  • The fit with a public programme governed by a particular text.
  • An assessed social effect: a traced operation is not a measured impact.
  • The availability of rules or integrations that were not used here.

Indicators

Amount issued, amount used, number of active organisations, number of beneficiaries, number of operations, period covered: none of these indicators is published on this site. They will be published with their source, their definition, their period and the date they were last updated, or not at all.
